Because of exhibitions, the frame is as is. Suite aux expositions, l'encadrement est "en l'état" et peut demander à être changé. Il s'agit d'un portrait unique de Suzanne Valadon, à l'âge ou elle eue l'honneur d'être la première femme à entrer à l'Académie. En hommage, j'ai créé ce portrait basé sur son vrai visage, connu à travers d'ancienne photographies./ Ce portrait fait partie d'une série nommée "aetatis suae," en souvenir des portraits de la Renaissance. Aetatis Suae était écrit en latin derrière ou sous le portrait pour donner l'âge de la personne sur le tableau. "Aetatis suae 25 Anno (A°) 1890" signifie " 25 ans en 1890"./ Une femme s'imposait dans cette série d'hommages aux grands peintres. Un monde très masculin a cette époque. Qui, autre que cette femme d'exception, circassienne puis modèle de peintres impressionniste, devenant peintre elle-même et donnant naissance a un peintre pouvait mieux être représentative!
