Claude Monet

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut bibendum tortor sit amet ligula rutrum, at porta tortor convallis ...

This portrait of Claude MONET, painted in acrylic on wood, was exhibited at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

Claude MONET, before painting his water lilies, presented Impressionism for the first time to American spectators in New York in 1887 thanks to Durand-Ruel. Francois Plumart therefore chose to paint it with his face from that date.

François Plumart covers his wooden panels with hide glue and carefully coats them before painting directly without setting up a preliminary drawing.

This painting is signed on the front right. Information on the back.
